Collecta was a pioneer in true streaming real-time search -- indexing and instantaneously pushing the newest information to users across platforms on their topics of interest as that information hit the web and social media platforms.
Developers built real-time data applications. Brand managers and content publishers brought custom feeds to their sites by using Collecta's REST API and XMPP/streaming APIs.
Collecta and WhoBet's co-founders had worked together for over a decade at Green Witch Internet Radio, Xiph Org Foundation, Chesspark, and CP+B.
Our teams operated from San Francisco, Los Angeles and Boulder and raised 6+ mm in funding from True Ventures & Dace Ventures.
