Collecta was a pioneer in true streaming real-time search -- indexing and instantaneously pushing the newest information to users across platforms on their topics of interest as that information hit the web and social media platforms.
Developers built real-time data applications with our platform. Brand managers and content publishers brought custom feeds to their sites by using Collecta's REST API and XMPP/streaming APIs.
WhoBet was a free social betting game with tight Twitter and Facebook integration that let users create wagers on anything, from anywhere, with their friends and rivals.
Collecta and WhoBet's co-founders had worked together for over a decade at iCast (Green Witch Internet Radio), Chesspark, and CP+B. Our teams operated from Boulder and Santa Monica and raised 6+ mm in funding from True Ventures & Dace Ventures.

iCast was a pioneering community based entertainment site & companion native application that offered original, syndicated and user-generated audio and video content, entertainment news, exclusive interviews, chats, and live events.
As the first dedicated hire, I was responsible for the creation and sell through of the original prototype to the CEO at our parent company CMGi. I hired and managed 10-person producer team who managed the workflow of a team of 100+ from concept to launch. The Producer group was responsible for Production/Project Management and what now would fall somewhere under the umbrella of Experience Design. It was a fun, excessive and enlightening moment of dot com insanity and the crash and burn that followed.

I was the first employee at ePresence, one of the first viable web design and development shops in the NY Metro area.
Clients: Lucent Technologies, AT&T, Hearst Publications, Morgan Stanley and Johnson & Johnson.
In 1999, ePresence was acquired by Banyan Worldwide. The acquisition, completed at a value of $13.75 million in cash and common stock, was done to reinforce and expand strategies and provide a larger array of services. In 2003, ePresence announced that it would cease operations and its assets would be acquired by Unisys.
